Grieving is a necessary passage and a difficult transition to finally letting go of sorrow – it is not a permanent rest stop.

I am so grateful that I woke up today. I’m so grateful that I am alive and healthy and loved.
Yes, I miss my husband. Yes, I wish things were different. But they are not.
I do not always want to be “the grieving widow”. That burden is too heavy, to exhausting. I need to be light. I need to spread my wings and learn to fly again.
I’m so grateful to be alive. Thank you, Jesus, for loving me!
