My Aha! Moment

I had an aha! moment recently. The topic of faith was being discussed. Faith, hope and love [Colossians 1:4-5]. These three are very closely linked together, and the lightbulb flashed.

Faith is talked about. A lot. We’re told “have faith; things will work out, they always do.” But what does that really mean?

The Bible teaches that “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 NKJV. Hebrews 11 goes on to catalogue the famous bible characters who walked in faith and the results of their faith in God.

This was my aha moment. Faith looks back and sees what God has done, not just at what God is going to do. He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. He never changes. What He is going to do, He has already done. He has made promises and when we stand on His Word in faith, those promises will be fulfilled. Ask Abraham. Ask Queen Esther. Ask King David. Ask Joseph.

All we need is faith the size of a mustard seed [Matthew 17:20] and we can move mountains.

What God has put in motion cannot be stopped and cannot be hurried up or slowed down.

Have faith in God. Trust Him. He loves you! He’s got you!
